What Is the Treatment Process With Invisalign® Clear Aligners?
First, you will come into the Torrance dentist office for a consultation to determine if Invisalign®
treatment is an option for you. Then a computerized 3D map of your mouth will be created and used to
produce a series of aligners designed to gradually shift your teeth. You will wear each clear
aligner for about two weeks before switching to the next one.
What Are the Advantages of Invisalign® Over Traditional Metal Braces?
Invisalign® clear aligners are removable, so you can take them out to eat and drink without worrying
about harming your braces. You will also be able to brush and floss like normal. They are nearly
invisible; no one will notice you have them! Finally, the lack of wires and metal brackets lowers
the chances of breakage and the need for emergency repairs.
What Are the Downsides of Invisalign® Retainers?
Invisalign® retainers aren’t suitable for everyone. They can’t be used to correct every orthodontic
issue. The doctor will let you know if Invisalign® treatment is an option in your case. They may or
may not be more expensive than traditional metal braces, depending on your individual needs.
